Important updates regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus
Update 5th June 2020 - Important patient update - we are re-opening soon
We are pleased to announce we are planning a phased re-opening from Monday 15th June 2020. In the meantime, we remain closed so please do not attend the practice in person until we confirm we are open again.
We recently welcomed an announcement from our Chief Dental Officer to begin the phase of reopening our Practice – news that we’ve been waiting for since we went into lockdown. It is vital however, that we resume our services to patients in a safe and effective way and that we work within the current national guidelines. This includes infection prevention control and social distancing as well as the fitting and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In addition to sourcing the right protective equipment that keeps both staff and patients safe, we also need to set up new working practices and safety protocols and then ensure our teams are trained ready to re-open with all this in place. We hope to have all this completed ready to re-open on 15th June 2020 but will confirm this via the website and our social media.
Clearly, we are all eager to re-open asap and we have many patients contacting us asking for an appointment. We will endeavour to get to you all as soon as we can. However, initially we will be prioritising those patients who have had or are still in severe pain. We will also be able to prioritise treatments that do not generate aerosol (air-borne particles) so anyone who was in the middle of treatments such as teeth straightening may be offered an early appointment.
While we finalise our re-opening plans, the practice is still open for telephone enquiries about emergency care. If you believe you have a dental problem, please contact us on 0121 777 4455 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We have been overwhelmed by your support during the lockdown period and ask that you bear with us that little bit longer until we can re-open and welcome you back into the practice.

Update 23rd March 2020 - the Practice is now closed
Given the unprecedented situation in the UK regarding the COVID-19 virus we felt it was important to reassure you that we are continuing to work but now only providing a telephone triage service for our patients with urgent needs during normal working hours. Please note you will not be able to attend the practice in person at all for any treatment or assessment . A dentist will be able to offer advice over the phone to you and in some cases a prescription if this is required. If after the dentist has carried out a telephone assessment and confirms that a patient does require urgent dental treatment we will send an urgent referral for you to one of the allocated urgent referral clinics located in Birmingham where you will then be contacted by them and advised where to attend for your emergency dental treatment.. Please note you must have a referral from a dentist to be seen at one of the urgent clinics.
If you have an appointment in the immediate future you will by now have received a cancellation call or message from us . Please be assured that we will contact you to rearrange these appointments as soon as we are open for normal routine treatments again.
If you do have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us on 0121 777 4455 or email us at email@example.com
Out of normal working hours we will always have an answer machine on which will give you contact details of NHS 111 option 1 to contact .
This information may change daily, and we will keep you up to date when ever changes occur.
As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can to remain well and able to offer a service to you as best we possibly can in the current circumstances.
